Who Makes Aspartame?... That's Right, MONSANTO!

Even the pharmaceutical companies are in bed with Monsanto!

Aspartame is banned in all childrens products in the European Common Market. Why not here? Why not Canada? Is not the life, health and safety of our children more important than corporate profits and greed?

Pharmaceutical Companies Use Aspartame!

Aspartame is not only used in food, per se, but is also used in pharmaceutical products. You might be surprised by the number of products that contain aspartame. A sample research project was initiated in April 1994, with requests to companies that produce pharmaceuticals. A number of companies failed to respond to a request for information. Some companies did respond.

Making sure children never miss a dose of aspartame appears to be a priority!

Frequently it is not listed on the outside of the package but in the small print on the slip of paper inside the package.  If you find a product you bought contains this poison return it to the store and insist on getting your money back or a substitute that does not contain aspartame.

Why not in Canada and the USA?  

Because Monsanto pays off the FDA, the American Medical Association, The American Dietetic and Diabetic Associations, Congressmen and Senators and virtually anyone who gets in the way, and in other countries too. The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation caught them red handed and aired a program where Monsanto was trying to bribe a couple of Canadian Doctors at Health Canada.

Author Peter Sills writing in the Toronto Globe and Mail said, after a three and a half year court case against Monsanto, brought by railroad workers exposed to dioxin following a train derailment had ended and in which the jury awarded a $16 million in punitive damages against Monsanto, "The evidence of Monsanto executives at the trial portrayed a corporate culture where sales and profits were given a higher priority than the safety of products and it's workers. They (Monsanto) just didn't care about the health and safety of their workers.  Instead of trying to make things safer, they relied on intimidation and threatened layoffs to keep their employees working.

i dont know who has u all believing that childrens products in europe do not contain aspartame, but i can assure u as a father of 2 who checks ingredients, they certainly do. i have read things for and against its use, as a precaution i chose about a yr ago to make sure that my family and myself eat and drink a healthy diet where we dont need much in the way of artificial anything. none of us are obese, we are all a healthy weight and i must also say that i have noticed a remarkable improvement in my sons concentration and behaviour since the diet change.

i think if we all just made sure we all watched what we ate and drank this wouldnt be an issue. and before anyone says, i AM on a VERY limited income and it IS possible to manage this.

I thought Searle made aspartame not Monsanto.

In the late 70's when the then CEO of Searle, Donald Rumsfeld used his political influence to overturn the FDA's ban on Aspartame, it may have been an independent company. Of that I'm not certain, but certainly Searle became a subsidiary of the GM giant Monsanto, who are busy poisoning the whole world and destroying the livlihoods of farmers in the thirld world. The rapidly increasing suicide rate among farmers in India is a direct result of the activities of Monsanto.

The Calorie Central Council is an international association of manufacturers of low-calorie and reduced-fat foods and beverages. The Calorie Central Council, aka CCC, has members that include manufacturers of alternative sweeteners, fat replacers and low-calorie bulking agents. This same CCC runs aspartame.org. The U.S. patent on aspartame expired in 1992. Since then the company has faced hot competition in market for aspartame from other manufacturers, including Ajinomoto, Merisant and the Holland Sweetener Company, (which stopped making the chemical in late 2006) It is J.W. Childs Equity Partners II, L.P. who purchased the NutraSweet Co. from Monsanto in 2000. The truth regarding Aspartame: Is Aspartame Really Safe? and how it came to approval: Donald Rumsfeld In Bed With Aspartame That level of daily consumption that is judged to be safe per the FDA is 50 milligrams (50 Milligrams = 0.0017636980974790206 Ounces) per kilogram (1 Kilogram = 2.2046 pounds) of body weight per day. Four percent of 0.080000821 ounces = 0.003200033 ounces Four percent 2267.95mg = 90.718mg Yet one soda can in the United States is 12 (Twelve) ounces. 12 ounces = 340,194.278mg

Both Merisant and the NutraSweet Co. trace their roots to the Monsanto Co. Merisant purchased the *rights to sell a tabletop version of aspartame in 2000 from Monsanto*, while *NutraSweet purchased the manufacturing and wholesale rights* to the product. Merisant's *lease rights* to the NutraSweet brand name end this summer. ASPARTAME Is Manufactured By Monsanto Using Genetically Modified Bacteria Monsanto is making a *killing* on aspartame regardless of what company is involved.

Actually Monsanto sold it's sweetener business in Feb. 2000. It is currently owned by Merisant.
